This interactive event invites you to experience sustainability in a hands-on and engaging way. Instead of just talking about plastic waste, we bring real alternatives and everyday solutions directly to you.

Come explore and touch innovative materials—from seaweed-based products and edible cutlery to items made from recycled coffee grounds—and learn how they can replace common plastics in real life. You’ll also get the chance to see how everyday “waste” can be redesigned into useful, reusable items through simple, creative transformations.

What to expect:

  • Hands-on exploration of plastic alternatives (e.g., seaweed, coffee-based, edible materials, and more!)
  • Live “waste redesign” demonstrations and mini DIY interaction
  • Short sustainability quiz + small prizes

Event Schedule:
1:30–3:30 PM: Open, drop-in activities
(Feel free to stop by anytime!)

No registration required. Open to all Penn students.
