Underwater Revelations: Exploring Climate and Architecture Below the Surface
Please join us for a fascinating Science Café with Michael Weisberg, Bess W. Heyman President's Distinguished Professor of Philosophy, and Mantha Zarmakoupi, Morris Russell and Josephine Chidsey Williams Asst Professor in Roman Architecture.

Room 121, VLEST, 3200 Walnut Street
Come along for the ride as we journey underwater, diving into exciting ways researchers can learn from going below the waves. An expert on the needs of small island nations, Weisberg will walk us through the realities of the climate crisis and how those contending directly with rising waters are grappling with their reality. Zarmakoupi will meanwhile speak to how underwater exploration can teach us about ancient cultures and how they navigated their world. We will provide food and beverages throughout the event—bring your appetites along with your questions and curiosity!
